The agriculture programme brings together four distinct opportunities: the Mwenezi lucerne platform in Zimbabwe; the Hola bamboo proposal in Kenya; Tana River’s Napier-to-CBG concept; and DZF La Félicité’s proposed wheat-and-pasta complex in Benin.
They combine land, water, agronomy, processing and market access. Their sponsors, development stages and funding requirements differ, so each is presented on its own terms.

MWENEZI / ZIMBABWE

Stellar Mundi’s Mwenezi feasibility study describes a 4,250-hectare landholding and a 2,200-hectare irrigated lucerne design, with 45 centre pivots and an irrigation strategy connected to the Manyuchi Dam.
The proposed platform integrates cultivation, harvesting, processing, storage and export-market development. The study identifies a US$32.5 million-plus platform budget comprising a US$27.5 million agricultural programme and US$5 million in working capital.

DZF’s proposal describes an established, multi-year wheat-flour and pasta importing and distribution business in Benin.
Mwenezi remains ahead of financial close. DZF’s existing trading activity is separate from its proposed manufacturing plant.
HOLA / KENYA
A plantation with
more than one purpose.
The Hola concept connects bamboo cultivation with biomass processing, pellets and biochar in a staged land-development programme.
THE BAMBOO PROPOSAL
Grow in phases.
Build an integrated system.
The 5,000-hectare Hola proposal sets out a three-year establishment schedule: 1,000 hectares in year one, 1,500 more in year two and 2,500 more in year three.
The Hola proposal describes promoter-owned land and an indicative US$50 million capital programme for cultivation and downstream processing. Production estimates depend on establishment, mature yields and the final operating design.

TANA RIVER / KENYA
A new crop-to-energy
chapter.
The Tana River concept proposes 5,000 hectares of Napier grass as dedicated feedstock for compressed biogas. The model links cultivation and harvesting to anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading, compression and distribution.
Digestate could return nutrients to agricultural use. The next stage is technical validation: soils and water, agronomic yields, methane testing, plant configuration and credible gas offtake.

DZF LA FÉLICITÉ / BENIN
From distribution
to transformation.
DZF describes an established wheat-flour and pasta importing and distribution business. Its next ambition is local manufacturing: an integrated agro-industrial complex in Cotonou, with land proposed as the local sponsor’s contribution.

The funding proposal combines €9.94 million of turnkey capital expenditure and €3 million of working capital, excluding the contributed land. Pasta capacity is approximately 24 tonnes per day only on a 24-hour operating assumption.
The proposal names Sarveshwar Foods as a prospective strategic counterparty and HP Handling for engineering. Investment, engineering and financing arrangements remain subject to agreement.
