ENERGY THAT CONNECTS THE ECOSYSTEM

The next generation
of productive power.

The green-energy strategy connects energy supply with agriculture, processing and future transport. Solar, floating solar, biomass and electric aviation remain strategic themes; project-level development is most detailed in the agricultural materials.

Tana River adds a specific Napier-to-CBG concept. Hola introduces bamboo-based processing. Mwenezi includes solar generation within its agricultural infrastructure design.

TANA RIVER / KENYA

From growing grass
to renewable gas.

The proposed 5,000-hectare Napier programme starts with a dedicated energy crop. Harvested and prepared biomass would enter anaerobic digesters, producing raw biogas.

Gas cleaning and upgrading would remove contaminants and carbon dioxide before biomethane is compressed for the intended market. Feedstock quality, methane yield, plant uptime and customer demand all need validation before scale.

4 phasesConcept-to-scale development plan

The concept will progress through feasibility, pilot development and commercial offtake arrangements.

THE PROPOSED ENERGY PATHWAY

A crop. A process.
A useful fuel.

01

Cultivate & harvest

Establish Napier, confirm yields and prepare a reliable feedstock stream.

02

Digest

Use anaerobic digestion to produce raw biogas and digestate.

03

Upgrade

Clean gas and separate unwanted components to meet the required specification.

04

Compress & deliver

Compress biomethane and develop storage, transport and customer offtake.

Digestate is a potential agricultural co-product. Its use depends on quality, handling and applicable requirements.

A CIRCULAR INDUSTRY

More value.
From what we grow.

Land→Biomass→Energy→Productive industry

HOLA BAMBOO / KENYA

A renewable resource.
Multiple possibilities.

The Hola proposal links a planned 5,000-hectare plantation to biomass processing, including pellets and biochar. The model envisages cultivation and industrial processing as one coordinated system.

Forecast output depends on mature crop yields, processing design and market access. Carbon-credit income is a separate possibility that would require an applicable methodology, monitoring and independent verification.

WHAT HAS MOVED FORWARD

Defined projects.
Documented preparation.

A specified CBG concept

The Tana River materials define the feedstock, process route and four-stage development sequence for evaluation.

Feasibility work completed

The Mwenezi study records completed technical validation and consultations for the wider agricultural platform, which includes a solar-energy component.

A phased plantation design

Hola’s proposal defines a three-year, 5,000-hectare establishment plan with downstream biomass-processing options.

The programme is progressing through project design and feasibility. Operating capacity and environmental performance will be measured as projects are delivered.

SOLAR & THE LONGER VIEW

Power where
industry needs it.

Mwenezi’s design includes solar generation in the agricultural platform. The immediate opportunity is to assess how energy systems can support irrigation and processing with dependable supply.

Floating solar and electric aviation extend the wider ecosystem vision. Project locations, capacities, suppliers and deployment schedules for these themes are still to be defined.

Solar integration

Size the energy system against the actual operational load and local supply conditions.

Electric aviation

Track aircraft maturity, charging needs and operational suitability before committing to deployment.

WHERE WE’RE HEADED

Validate the resource.
Then build the system.

A sequence of delivery milestones. Timing depends on project readiness, agreements and approvals.

01

Complete feasibility

Study land, soils, water, feedstock yield, technology selection and market demand.

02

Run the pilot

Test crop performance, digestion and methane yields; refine plant and offtake assumptions.

03

Scale the infrastructure

Phase plantation expansion, processing, storage and distribution against proven results.

04

Measure the outcomes

Establish monitoring, operating performance and any independently verified environmental claims.
